My name is Justyna Ausareny. I’m interested in new media, projects connecting technology with other disciplines and social design. My dream is to create tools that can enhance learning and creative practices. I am an evangelist of Helios Makerspace in Montreal and a master of science student working on a project related to enhancement of evaluation and treatment techniques for motor impairments of stroke patients. I am temporarily residing in Barcelona. I love working with people and I use every opportunity to make projects where technology and art meet.
Here are some other bits and pieces about me:
Last summer I joined the creative universe of musical robotics of Andy Cavatorta at Dark Matter Manufacturing in New York.
I’m a biology enthusiast, working on a fun project with micro- actors like Daphnia who perform in a coconut theater on a microfluidic stage, featuring an electronic Wayang story.
I’m a woodworker and founder of a former collective and woodshop 1, 2 tree studio. Yes , I can’t stop making things. I enjoy building as much as repairing machines, doing mechanics.
I also lead workshops on simple creative electronics, woodworking and design and enjoy visiting different hackerspaces and maker communities. Learning from others is fun!
